Summer is over....

Well, it seems we haven't kept up with this blog stuff as much as we would like to. We have had an extremely busy year and are just trying to keep our heads above water. We had a quick, but rewarding summer and are back into the swing of things at the University.

Gabe had the opportunity to go to Washington DC this spring to participate in the People to People Leadership conference for 10 days (yes without parents!) it was a great learning opportunity for him. He also participated in BYU football camp, Idaho State University Basketball camp, and football and basketball camps here at the University of Montana Western. Since school has started he is involved in 7th grade football and cross-country!

Jayden has been equally as busy as her brother. She and I had the opportunity to participate in the BYU Clogging Classic dance camp--we had a blast. Since then, she has made two competition dance teams with the Dynamic Dance Company in Butte. Needless to say, we go to Butte (50 miles each way) 4 days a week. They are very competitive and we are happy she has the opportunity to train with such a quality dance program.

Fred coached American Legion Baseball all summer (75 games) and they ended up taking 3rd at State! They were very competitive as one player broke the state all time home run record. He also was appointed Department Chair over the Business and Technology Department. He is extremely busy between home life and work responsibilites, but we did have the opportunity to ride our Harley's to Sturgis!

I too have been busy, especially shutteling children all over the place. In my spare time I have read a few good books, presented at a couple conferences, was elected President of the Montana AAHPERD organization, and am now the Program Coordinator of my department. Oh ya, I am also teaching early morning Seminary for our Church (as most of you know I am NOT a morning person--but we are all doing a good job at making it work).

We sure hope everyone is doing well and I will try to update this thing more!
